Rubber and tyre waste disposal - what waste will we collect from your business?
On behalf of our customers we collect all types of waste rubber, including technical components (e.g. rubber mats, gaskets), production residues and post-consumer products (e.g. footwear, gloves, sports equipment). Mostly industrial waste with the following codes:
- 07 02 80 - wastes from the rubber industry and rubber production,
- 07 02 99 - wastes not otherwise specified,

Among other things, we collect rubber waste in containers and bins, on pallets and, in the case of bulky items, also in bulk. Until collection, all industrial waste must be collected separately and stored under the conditions provided for in the legislation.

Practical and formal aspects of rubber waste collection and disposal
What documents to generate before collecting rubber waste? Every entrepreneur who is obliged to keep records of waste must issue a Waste Transfer Note (KPO) even before the waste is collected from the company. A KPO should be generated in the BDO system, by completing, inter alia, the code and weight of the waste to be transferred. Failure to complete the KPO will result in no waste being collected.
How to prepare rubber waste for collection and disposal? We only accept waste from our customers segregated according to the codes provided for in the waste catalogue. They may be stored in bins, containers, big bags or in any other manner prescribed by law and corresponding to the characteristics of the rubber waste in question. Prior to collection, containers and receptacles should be placed in an easily accessible location, which will speed up their loading and reduce the time taken to complete the entire service.
How is rubber waste recycled and disposed of?
In Poland, rubber waste most often are mechanically recycled or energy recovery in the R1 process. Mechanical recycling of waste rubber generally involves the separation of components from other materials (e.g. steel, textiles), followed by grinding and granulation of the rubber, resulting in a dust or rubber granules are produced.
The resulting material has slightly lower mechanical properties (especially elasticity) than the original material and is therefore generally not suitable for the same purpose. Instead, it is used in the manufacture of synthetic playground surfaces, rubber mats for fitness equipment or bituminous mixtures used in road wearing layers (so-called rubber asphalt).
