What plastic waste do we collect?

We collect from our customers all types of plastic waste (including hazardous waste), i.e:

  • production waste (e.g. offcuts, production waste), (07 03 13)
  • plastic packaging waste (15 01 02),
  • stretch films, sleeves and tarpaulins (e.g. 20 01 39, 02 01 04),
  • plastic containers and drums (15 01 10*, 15 01 02),
  • worn-out plastic parts (e.g. casings, covers, technical structures),
  • multi-material waste with a predominance of plastic.

All received waste must be sorted according to the waste codes in the BDO and stored in suitable containers. On request, we can provide a container tailored to the type and volume of waste transported or advise on the choice of container. We also offer the following services to companies that generate larger quantities of plastic waste, collect packaging as part of a deposit system or provide municipal services professional machines for plastic waste (e.g. compactors, press-containers, roll-packersintelligent bins).

How does plastic recycling work?

We transfer plastic waste to specialised facilities where it is mechanically recycled,.

In Poland mechanical recycling is the predominant method of plastic recycling (material). Before being processed in the installation, the received plastic waste is sorted, de-polluted (e.g. metal, paper, organic residues) and washed and then shredded and melted into regranulate, which is the raw material for new packaging and products. Chemical (feedstock) recycling is much less common - installations are rare and there are still limited opportunities to use the recovered raw materials for industrial production. Chemical recycling processes, however, make it possible to obtain polymers and monomers even from heavily contaminated or mixed plastic waste, so the technology is constantly being developed and legislative bodies are working to expand the use of the resulting recyclate.

For waste that is not suitable for material or raw material recycling, energy recovery or, as a last resort, safe disposal is used. The aim of all these recovery and disposal processes for plastics is to minimise the amount of waste going to landfill and to reintroduce raw materials back into the cycle, in line with the principles of the circular economy.
